Marissa Mizeski
Hello! My name is Marissa Mizeski and I am extremely pleased to be the new Executive Director. I grew up in Califon, NJ graduating from Voorhees High School in 2004 and with a BS in Environmental Studies from Gettysburg College in 2008. I was a teacher/naturalist "Miss Marissa" for four summers in the NJ locations and up until my new position, was a full time year-round environmental educator with the Frost Valley YMCA in the NY Catskills.
I'm interested in providing children with their first great experience with animals and nature. I believe that children are naturally inquisitive about nature and form bonds with animals from an early age. It's up to adults to act as role models in loving nature and providing children with a safe and fun place to explore. Once the children bond with their natural surroundings, it will likely foster a lifelong sense of environmental stewardship. Thanks for your support and I hope to see you soon!
