What a wonderful time of the year. Believe it or not life at the Whittemore is starting to rise from its winter slumber. In no time the trees will start to bud and the greenery will once again return. Many utilize our wonderful facility throughout the year, but the spring and summer is a special time. The Sanctuary continues to grow along with the seasons adding new events and programs which are listed below. We can't do it alone and thanks to your support, we are able to staff and manage this precious resource. We hope you also can continue to participate in the development of the Whittemore Wildlife Sanctuary and the educational programs that it offers. Membership/renewal information is listed below and as always we are always looking for volunteers for our great events.

Events

The Friends of Whittemore in conjunction with the Women's Club of Tewksbury Township will be hosting a Spring Easter Egg hunt and Maple Sugaring Day on March 16th from 1-3 p.m.

Children's Garden Quilt Celebration Day will be Thursday May 15, 2008. The Children with assistance from teachers, staff and volunteers will be transplanting flowers and vegetables in to the garden area. The produce is then donated to those who are in need.

2008 Summer Nature Day Camp will run from June 23rd until August 15th this year.

Birthday parties and scouting programs upon request.

The Whittemore Wildlife Sanctuary has two open board member positions. If you can dedicate one weekday evening per month, love nature and are interested call Chris at 908-439-1201
