Wednesdays in Feb 8th-29nd 2:00pm-4:00pm

Join the maple tree club where you’ll play tree games, adopt your own tree, see who lives in our trees, keep a journal and learn about the magical process of maple syrup making! Families can join the Saplings on the final day to see how it’s done and sample our hard work!

The Maple Scientists
For ages 6-10
Thursdays in February 9th-23rd & March 1st 4:00-5:45PM

Join the maple tree club where you’ll adopt and observe your own maple tree! Maple scientists make observations in their journals and create delicious syrup from their trees. Scientists will have fun playing tree games and activities! Families can join us the final day to see how it’s
done and sample our hard work!

Program Information and Registration Policies

Programs held at the Whittemore Wildlife Sanctuary 

7 Rockaway Road Oldwick, NJ 08858

Directions: Coming from Califon, go through the town of Oldwick, then make a right onto Rockaway Road-look for a guardrail and signs.  From I-78 take exit 24, follow signs for Oldwick and take 1st left onto Rockaway Road

What should my child bring/wear?

Please wear closed toed shoes and bring a large reusable water bottle to all programs.

Bring a raincoat, we run rain or shine. If there's severe weather, we have plenty of indoor activities. Once it starts getting chilly, dress in layers!

Early Sign Up Strongly Encouraged. 

Please send in registration so that it's received in the mail at LEAST 2 business days before the start of a program. If you send it in later, there are no guarantees. We will cancel two days before the start date if we don't have at least 3 children. Feel free to call/email
